since 2020
I have been working with the fashion program Clo3D since 2020. Clo3D has helped me develop my design in many ways. For me, the controversy between digital and real is very important for the design process. In order to understand what the program can do, it was an important step for me to import and “dress” myself as a scanned person. With the in3D app, I was able to create a digital twin of myself. For my digital outfit, I designed a print that depicts the 17 points of the Sustainable Development Goals. I deliberately opted for printing because I see a great advantage in the digital production of clothing in terms of sustainability. Digitalization offers the opportunity to show clothing that is not produced. From the study by Ecos (2022), I learned that 80 billion garments are produced worldwide every year, 25% of which are never sold. So there is a large proportion of clothing that is produced but never worn. In my opinion, the future of online clothes shopping will be that we can try on our clothes with an avatar to better understand whether the size and style suits us or not.
I was able to work for the brand “OpenDress” as a freelancer.
